Please dont tell me what I think this is is what I think it is
Was cleaning the rock out and found these floating all over!? Never seen them before and I stare hard at my tank. I have a bit of flow, so, no doubt they were/are in my rock work somewhere. I had my powerheads on all the time so they must have been hiding until I got a wavemaker strip with stops the flow for a while. I guess they decided to come out enough to get blasted out of the rock with a turkey baster now? Looks just like that in the picture. Not flat like a flat worm but like a slug, complete with anten-i .

I'd agree, it looks like some kind of nudibranch. Can you get a bigger picture? That would really help with the i.d.

I will try but my camera was right on top of it as is and resolution set to 1600, lol.
I do know one thing, the fish will not eat them. Maybe because they just float around stiff and do not wiggle when thery are floating around? Last edited by csmfish; 07/22/2010 at 09:59 AM. |

You definitely need a bigger picture. You can just upload the unedited image without resizing from your camera and it should be much larger.
It looks like a nudibranch, but what type is difficult to discern without a larger photo.

you may also want to try to send some pics to Wet Web Media. They are really good about being able to accurately i.d. things.

Did you click on the picture? If you did, thats as big as it gets. These things are small. That picture is a 2200x1700 picture as close as I can get.
