New sump

This weekend I am going to change sum on my system. The new sump is twice the size of the old one. My question is should I "cycle" new sump? I am thinking that since my 90 gallon tank is seven years old and has light bioload it should handle the switch without any problems. Probably tomorrow I will fill new sump with water from the tank and drop one or two power head for circulation. What are your ideas on that? Thanks.

There is no reason to cycle a sump.

No, it will be just like doing a water change with the extra volume.

If it's acrylic, you might want to give it a vinegar bath to get all of the oils off.

just pour some vinerger on a rag and wipe it out, then rinse with tap water, is all you need.

Not much. 1 cup should be good. Use a paper towel, and rub down the inside with the vinegar. Don't forget to rinse it.
