Euro-Reef 180 Skimmer

I got one of these new locally and the pump is so loud!! i have changed out two different pumps and they are the same. Euro Reef tells us that they have a newer impeller shaft that will make it quit. Has anyone had this issue?

I actually put the skimmer on a rubber mat... I wasn't really loud but after I put it on the mat you could only hear a hummm...

well i did that but it sounded the same, very loud, even the service guy said it was loud which is my LFS owner. So hopefully i will get the new shaft and it will be much quieter...

Sorry my ER skimmers have the Sedra pumps and Eheim pump. There are two new pumps out that might prove very interesting. The Sicce pumpthat pumps more the PSK2500 and is cheaper and the new Bubble Blaster style pumps. Good luck on the new shaft hope it works out to your satisfaction.
