Newbie filter question

Ant of you all use Canister filters on your reef tank if so are there any pros/cons

dont get one... way more cons the pros i can think.. high nitrates and just not a lot of flow though it... what size is your tank

well this will be on a 75gal I have the opertunity to get a 75 with stand canopy caniter filter all new never used for next to nothing so I was wondering about it.

if you get it that cheap im sure someone on here could suggest best way to use it. could use it for carbon if nothing else

I use mine for carbon and phosban, clean it every few weeks, run no sponges and you will have no issues with it. I have been using one for over 10 years for just that purpose.
