Newbie needs advice on MH lighting
I have an opportunity to buy a 2x250w MH light fixture for a steal. I currently have a 75g fowlr, but plan to add corals soon. Is 500w this too much light for a 75g tank? Am I able to use 150w MH bulbs on a fixture designed for 250w MH bulbs?
Thanks in advance for any help! |

I since found MH fixtures online that accept bulbs of diff wattages, so not sure why that's such an unreasonable question.
With that said, is it possible without significant modification to use 150w bulbs in this fixture? Has anyone done this? |
