Have read plenty of opinions that they are fine and I just got 1 (then a second).
First one was delivered dry (the vial that is supposed to hold storage fluid leaked everything into box. Tried to calibrate on my RKE and it read consistently low compared to my calibrated DA pH probe. Contacted BRS and they shipped a second one as a replacement with no problem. This one was partially dry when delivered - only half the fluid leaked from the storage vial. It took a long time to calibrate, but it finally settled in and seems to be fine now. In the mean time, I did contact DA as well to make sure that I wasn't having an issue with the controller and everything checked out, so the problem did definitely seem to be the probe. Overall, with the great customer service to back them up, I think they are fine, although more time will tell. Packaging leaves a lot to be desired, however. The probe is shrink-wrapped (probably an attempt to hold on the vial) and is just laid in a box with a single loose wrap of packing material (thin foam sheet), so it can bounce around a bit. The boxes are sealed with a "Tested" sticker which looks like it is done at the factory - not by BRS, so there is no way to know if the fluid leaked out during transit or long before in the case of the problems I had. One other positive, however - they are the correct size for the probe ports in GEO Ca reactors. I know from hearing problems from other reefers that some brands have a slightly smaller diameter than others, which prevents them from being able to be used in a probe port.

i use the milwaukee ph monitor. you just need to calibrate it to the right temp that the fluid tells you. they give you a chart with temps...
like at 80c it's 7.01 or whatever. they hold really well.

I have used one and would definitely use them again. Nice, super long wire too.
