quick pH question for QT tank.
i have a 17g DT that is cycling and a 10g that i would like to use as a QT tank.
i'm using ro/di water. after about 5 days of cycling with 3 shrimps added, the DT pH is reading 7.2, ammonia 5, nitrite positive, sp gravity 1.025. the DT i have running instant ocean salt, 15lbs LR, 20 sand, AC50, mp10 at ~50%, temp 80. the A/C in the room is comfortable/chilli. the QT pH is 7 with fresh ro/di saltwater 1.025. i've moved the mp10 to the QT tank. So I need to use a buffer to bring the pH up to around 8 in the QT? that would be the quick solution if i would like to quarantine a fish? |
