Current system: 170G+50g Sump/Bio-Pellet Reactor. 2x400w Radium+2x110w VHO. 2 x HYDRO Magnum 8 + 1xMP60w (removed 2 x Koralia 4). SWC 300A Cone (had SWC 200 w/ Red Demon); it's AWESOME! BRS DOSER(Cal, Alk, and Mag).

Current Tank Info: 170g+50g sump

Heniochus diphreutes is supposed to be more reef safe but the Heniochus acuminatus is coral eater. I am no expert so I don't know if the pictured one is reef safe or not.

If you're asking the species, it's H. diphreutes. Most of the ones I've kept have been good citizens.

Small juveniles are difficult, but in these pics you can clearly see the anal fin is almost completely vertical. There are also differences in striping and the snouts are different, but the anal fin is the easiest. In H. acuminatus it is much more slanted, ~45°.

Will these guys stick together in a home aquarium? I am putting together a wish list for a 180 and they'd be super cool.

Problem is... all the fish stores around here that get them say that their suppliers dont make the distinction on their order sheets between the two species.
