What should the numbers be @ for salinity? # Ammonia?
# Nitrite?
# Nitrate?
# pH?

0 nitrite
0 nitrate

Ammonia must be 0
nitrate should be around 0,but some say as high as 20 is okay.
Nitrite 0
Ph 8.0-8.4
Salinity depends on the type of tank- Reef 1.025 fish only 1.020 if there are no inverts

The best advice one can give is to match your tank water to typical ocean water parameters....starting with the salinity at 35ppt or a sg of around 1.026.

Hey, where did my post go... 35 ppt salinity for all tanks. Fish and coral both live in the ocean and natural sea water is 35 ppt.
