Aquarium safe silicone?

I heard GE 1 silicone if safe to use but not GE 2 is this true.

you do not want any anti mold inhibitures (sp.) usually the GE1 windows and doors is the safe one to use.

Yes, GE 2 has additives in it to resist mold, if they hit the water in a SW tank, your coral will quickly tell you how much they don't like it....

Just to make a note, while it is aquarium safe, it is not recommended for structural bonding. ie: No building tanks with it. You can glue baffles into a sump though.

somebody needs to start a silicon thread, list all the aquarium safe silicons and have it stickied. this question comes up like 10 times a day lol

I've used the GE1 windows and doores before without any issues. It is definitely reef safe.
