Pump went out on Octopus 300 skimmer...
Alright, so the pump on my Octopus 300 skimmer went out...it appears as if the impeller got stuck...the whole thing was super hot and might have melted something. I need to get a replacement pump, but seeing as this pump went out on me, I am not too quick to just replace it with the same pump. The pump that is on there right now is the OTP-3000. It is rated at 750 gph, and supposedly 50 scfh, but I never tested it.
I did a quick search online, and I was thinking of replacing it with a sedra 9000, or maybe Sicce PSK-2500, but I don't really know and I am open to all options. What about the Tunze skimmer pumps? Or perhaps an Eheim? Let me know what you guys think, I want to make my purchase online tomorrow so this thing can get shipped over... Thanks, James

Reef Octopus Bubble Blaster HANDS DOWN. I replaced a pair of Sedra 9000's with a single Bubble Blaster 5000 at 1/3rd the power consumption and more air draw.

Hey Ron,
I don't live too far from you...did you buy the pump locally or did you order it online?
