Is it worth upgrading?
I currently have the current USA nova extreme pro 6*54 watt light fixture. Would it be any benefit to upgrade to metal halides? Thanks for the help!

What size tank? It may be worth your while to upgrade to a better T5 fixture if you are happy with T5's.

T5s are great. I am a halide guy myself so my vote is for halides. The Current t5 fixture is not that great. If I was to go from halides to t5 I would get a ATI or a Tek light. But for the cost of the fixture and bulbs you could have a really nice 250 what halide setup for 1/4 the cost. I paid $125 for my 250 watt reef optics3 and icecap e ballast.
