Problem calibrating Aquacontroller pH probe.

I've got an ACJR. I tried to calibrate my pH probe for use in my calcium reactor. I went through the procedure and the box said the probe was defective. I dug out another probe, same thing. I bought a new probe from Bulk Reef Supply.....same thing. So I called Neptune and they ran me through some things and they said the probe must be defective. I find that hard to believe seeing as how it was the same result with all three probes.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I have had that experience before. However, I think it was because when I was doing the calibration, it was becuase I wasn't allowing the probe to "settle" long enough. I leave the probe in the calibration packets until it stops "settling" and remains on a stationary number. I then calibrate to the next pH adjustment, wait for it to stop settling adn voila, the AC updates. I have an AC3, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I will try to let it settle a little longer. I usually wait until it has settled for 20 seconds or so.

I have the Apex and I let mine settle for a couple of minutes, swirling it on occasion. Try that, because you really want the numbers to be stable before you enter the value for calibration.
