Suggest me stocking..

Hi Friends,

Mt tank is 2 ffot 20 gal with 10 gal sump..curresntly under cycling ..its gonna be a softies tank with zoas and mushrooms.

I donot want to overstock the tank , have 2-3 cleaner shrimps in mind..

Please do suggest the kind of fish I should go with and I donot want clowns or damsels..

I was thinking of yellow watchman goby with a tiger pistol shrimp and a purple firefish..Let me know about the compatibility ...

Also are they big jumpers ? for then I would have to look for another alternative as my tank is an open top system..

technically you're not supposed to keep gobies together, just like tangs.
People do it anyway, along with myself. I have a diamond watchman goby and a purple firefish. they do fine together.
Firefish are notorious jumpers, but you can get alternatives that don't deflect much light such as eggcrate or mesh screen.
BRS sells mesh screen and the kit to make it. I personally don't have one though..

The firefish is a definite jumper, the watchman goby a possible jumper (really, any fish can and will jump if spooked) . You could always add a window screen frame with 1/4 bird screen, it does not detract too much from the look of the tank. The firefish and goby are likely to fight in a small tank. Other possibilities:
Royal Gramma
Orange Lined Cardinal Fish

I like the idea of a goby/shrimp combo. What about doing a seahorse pair in the tank? I've seen some in stores but I've never seen a tank in a home with a mated pair in it.
