How often do you change you DI?
I have an RO/DI setup. TDS leaving the RO is about 7 and TDS leaving the DI is 0. Recently replaced the RO filters, but I have had the same DI canister for over a year. Does the DI need to be changed even though it is reading 0?

um over time usually the di will go bad faster then the other filters. if its reading zero and its the color changing kind and it hasnt changed color then leave it.

or recalibrate your tds meter. I change my di canisters about once a month once TDS hits 1ppm

The first stage which is usually the sediment prefilter should last 1 - 2 months. The second stage, usually the carbon filter, should last about 2- 3 months. The cartridge with the DI resin should last about 6 months. If you are changing your DI cartridge every month, that sounds unusual.

If the reading after the DI cartridge is 0, then the DI cartridge doesn't need to be changed.

I dont think we should try and set a time limit standard to how long filters or DI should last. You may only filter 100 gallons of water in a month while i may filter 500 gallons.

Good point, I forgot to mention that I only use RO/DI for top off water/evaporation. I I'm not sure how much water has actually been filtered, but I store my Top off Water in a 55gallon rubbermaid trashcan and I fill every 2-3 weeks. My current setup is a 125 with 30 gal sump and 10 gal fuge. The reason I am asking is because lately I have Cyano and I am trying to locate the source with out dropping a ton of green backs. I have a decent load and I have an awesome skimmer. Just added a new batch of Cheato/Macro b/c the other disappeared after I "tried" a new fuge light.
The DI resin was brand new when I got it .
