Reeflo Dart for 280 Gallon tank?

Could I use a Reeflo Dart for a 280 gallon tank or would I need to upgrade to a larger pump?

For reference the Reeflo Dart does 3600GPH with a 2" inlet and 1.5" outlet

Thanks guys!

that should be fine for a sump return. remember you sump is much smaller than your tank so the turnover in the sump is xtimes that of the DT.

you should have additional circulation in the tank too. what kind of corals will you/are you keeping?

should be fine. How far below the tank will the sump be will it be under the stand or basement? 2MP40s might be enough.

The pump will be under the stand. The stand is 36" high and the tank is 36" high so it would have to pump 6 feet

The dart will be fine. Plumb it with the least amount of resistance. It'll be enough for your return but if you're planning a mainly sps tank you made need flow. If only a few SPS you will be fine. The Dart's are my favorite pump. I have 3 of them!!

The dart and the vortech's should be plenty of flow, there maybe some dead spots that you will need to adjust your returns to get.
