Mixed Lighting Question on Large Reef Tank
I have a 210g mixed reef tank 72"x24"x26". I'd like to lean more towards sps in the future but love the color of deeper blue lighting color. All my current sps are placed from about one to one and a half feet below the water surface, they are up pretty high in my estimation. I currently have 2x icecap 660 ballasts, one runs 4x 48" 12,000k t5 bulbs, and the other runs 2x72" T12 super actinics.
I am due for a lamp replacement soon and was thinking of going with 2x48" ATI blue plus, and 2x48" AquaBlue specials on one ballast. The other ballast Id like to do 1x72" 454 T12 bulb, and 1x72" SuperActinic T12. Id also like to add some shimmer to the tank, ecoxotic stunner strips look sweet. If I went with these Id either do 6x white and blue combo strips, or three white blue combos and 3 royal blues. Do you think Id deliver enough light to my sps, and do you think all this lighting combo would create an aesthetically pleasing look? |
