6x 54w on a 55
i have a 55 gallon reef with all the usuals. zoas, green star polyps, leather, xenia, galaxia, torches etc. i have a cheapo odyssea 4x 54 w t5 fixture. i want to upgrade to a nova extreme pro 6x 54w fixture at some point. will this be too much light over a 55 gallon reef? i also like that light as there is more options with bulb combos if you have 6 bulbs.

Wouldn't be too much, I would just acclimate slowly just like you do after you get new bulbs, adjusting the time, height, what bulbs are on, etc.

I think that fixture is a little wider thant eh 55, but should be ok if you upgrade to a 75 down the road.
