Do corals poop?
Well if this does not catch the attention and make you laugh nothing will. While humorous, I am serious. Saw my brain coral emitting brown stings of something? Did this for a few minutes then stopped. Everything looks fine but as a newbie not sure if this is normal?

Yes, this is normal. I have seen my brain coral do this as well as my anemone!

LOL!!!!
As they are animals, I'm sure they have waste products. Solid poop that you can see, I am not too sure.

yes they do. Your guess is correct, the brown string is their poop.
My blue hippo tang developed a taste for this brown string.. |

FYI --- if any anemone is releasing a big ball, the odds are very good that it is being fed too big of pieces. Would be better off giving it smaller pieces.

i've practically seen all the animals in the tank poop except for crabs and snails. my cubumber craps all the time. that's just how they eat by skimming the sand and when they poop it what comes out is clean sand. sea stars or brittle stars poop big time they also come out with brown stuff but mostly when dark. Anemones, lps and zoas i've seen poop and the poop all look alike. sps and other softies i've never seen them do it.
