Hey guys,

My stand is arriving via parents tomorrow (I am away for college)! So I should be setting up my 40 breeder this week!

Question, I'm buying one MP10. How much benefit will I get from using two MP10's versus a MP10 and a Korlia hydor?

I may can talk Mom into letting borrow her digital camera, but if not do you guys want black berry pictures? They won't be the best quality.

You might want to skip the vorthech and use that money for a little more light if you plan to keep sps, clams, or nem, in that tank, imo.

Please explain why T5's are not going to work in his 40 breeder?

the mp10 is going to give you more control than the K's. however, k's are cheap and work really well but you're comparing a rolls royce and an economic vehicle. You'll be happier with the mp10 but you have to ask yourself, "Is it worth it?"

I am only planning on having a softies. I love their movement and pulsing Xenia keep my captivated lol. From what people told me, with that light I can keep almost anything I want. I'm not worried about it though because I want to stick with softies.

I am going to go with one vortech so I can get some random current going on, in Lagoon mode would the vortech make the Korlias flow random if I face them at each other?

if your going to just keep softies, the MP10 is plenty of flow. no need to try to add another powerhead. and to answer your question. no the K isn't going to change anything, it will just constantly maintain the same flow.
