Qik joe ice melt
this stuff says it contains calcium chloride with hygroscopic properties. Is this the stuff you use for dosing calcium? and if it is how much do i mix to make it equivalent to EVS 2 part

Most likely it is, but I am unsure. The issue I see with using that stuff is it really worth the risk?? $20.00 worth of Kent Turbo Calcium lasts me about 1 year in a 75 and 60 reef tank. Also You get way too much when you buy it and how much are you going to waste due to humidity getting in the bag. I have seen it in 20LBS bags. That would last a life time. So to save $10-20 it is just not worth it IMO.
