What do you think of this LED??
I know it is cheap and from ebay. But I am very interested in LEDs for sps. I want to test something cheap before investing in a real LED fixture. I have a 250 watt halide now and need to replace it with a LED fixture that is 250 watt inequivalent.

The first doesn't tell you the LEDs and for the price well I would avoid it.
The second is Bridgelux, not as efficient as CREE that the DIYer are using. Note the PAR reading 177 at 12 inches? No sps expert, but is that enough light? |

At 8.3x 8.3", you'll need 6-8 of those to cover your tank. Remember, those par numbers are probably right in the center and will diminish rapidly as you move away from the center...
