tank drilling 101
how close can you drill to the bottom edge of a tank.
i am building a sump and would like to run an external return pump with the pump bulkhead closer to the bottom. the glass is 1/2 thick. thanks scott |

Typically you want to drill at least as much as the diameter of the hole away from the edge or another hole. So if you are drilling a 1.5" hole, 1.5" away from the trim and so on.
