lets see pictures of hex reef tanks
I am thinking about setting up a 50 gal hex reef tank and am curious what peoples luck has been with them.

I've always found the hex shape to be a pain...harder to clean all the different sides, not a lot you can do with the rock work, other then stack them up into a column, limited fish selection (no real swimmers), etc.

Thats what I am finding out. I am thinking about scratching the hex build lol.

I had a 35g hex tank set up for seahorses, and I thought it was perfect for them. They like vertical more than horizontal. I drilled some live rock and used sections of 3/8" fiberglass rod to assemble a vertical "wall". An 18" 96W quad tube compact florescent retro-fit worked well as a light in my diy canopy.
