Hawkfish
Any input as to how to catch these guys? Hadn't realized how much of a terror they can be to the smaller fish in the tank. I don't have "smaller" fish per se, but just realize he's chasing and bullying my small wrasse and cardinals... wow, I really don't want to tear the whole reef down.

Its difficult to catch fish, what i have done is get up in the middle of the night after several hours of blackout, they tend to be slow and easily catchable then, worth a shot.

You can also give fish traps a try. Sometimes they can be constructed with a 2-liter bottle top cut-off and inverted. You can enlarge the opening depending on the size of the fish. They often have trouble escaping long enough for you to put a net over it.

Thx for the input. Hawkfish are definitely brighter than the average fish... but may give both of these ideas a shot. Just wish the wrasse I had gotten was as advertised rather than turning out to be about the same length as the hawk. Watching the hawk pick on it is rough to endure...
