Faviia

How fast does it grow? If I buy a 1"x1" frag? Is it hard to keep?

Some grow faster than others but overall not an extremely fast grower. Feeding them well helps. Not particularly hard to keep but not exactly like keeping shrooms. They need moderate+ light and medium flow and good (but not neccessairly pristine) water. Good Ca and alk levels are important to its health/growth as well.

IME favia/favities are extremely slow growers.

if you put them on the sand they grow even slower. idk if this is true, but from what ive seen, if you put them on rocks and give them hard surface to grow onto they will spread slightly faster. (but still not fast). i find them relatively easy to keep. i try to feed mine whenever i can, and they seem to like it
