phosban reactor
For the people using a phosban reactor. Are you guys using the black foam discs with the phosban or are you using just the red plastic discs?

I have to use both, as I've got pretty small media that I'm running in there. I've never had media large enough to run without the foam.

I run both. It came that way, so I never decided to change it. I clean them out really good when I change the media.

Unless you're running your reactor backwards, the foam should be what prevents the media from getting into the tank. I use both sponge and red plate, and i run 2 reactors in series carbon first, then GFO.
