phosban reactor

For the people using a phosban reactor. Are you guys using the black foam discs with the phosban or are you using just the red plastic discs?

I have to use both, as I've got pretty small media that I'm running in there. I've never had media large enough to run without the foam.

I run both. It came that way, so I never decided to change it. I clean them out really good when I change the media.

What? How could the sponge being blocked force media into the tank?

Unless you're running your reactor backwards, the foam should be what prevents the media from getting into the tank.

I use both sponge and red plate, and i run 2 reactors in series carbon first, then GFO.
