Do you know what type of "carpet" ?
Do you have a sandbed? What lights do you have? How long have you had the anemone? Need to figure out why it is on the glass -- otherwise moving it won't do any good. Anytime I have had to move my S. Haddonis, I made sure that I was wearing a glove --- they are extremely sticky. Very very slowly try to pry it off with your finger -- I don't like to use any "tool" because you won't have the "feel", and it is very easy to damage the foot. If you, at all, get frustrated, stop and take a break.

Anemones will move to the place they like the best so moving him to where you want is not really and option and will cause stress to it. Maybe adjust a powerhead so the flow in the tank is different and he might deciede to move then
