Sump Options
So yesterday I placed an order for an Elos System 70 aquarium (55 gallons). I'm trying to plan out my equipment for the system and can't really decide on what I want to do for a sump option. It will be SPS dominated and I will be running a SWC 160 Cone Skimmer. I've also looked into possibly running biopellets, but don't know enough about them to decide yet. So..... This is where you guys come in to help me decide. Please vote in the poll and give any added information, tips, or cautions that you might have about my suggestions or offer completely new ones. Thanks for your help!

Depends...
Do you have an odd shape that the sump has to go into ? Or do you have a standard rectangle shaped stand to put the sump in? In general I would suggest just making your own from a standard glass tank. However, if your stand is square, you might lose a lot of space if you use a rectangle shaped standard glass tank for your sump, you might be better off getting one custom made.

The tank dims are 29"x22"x19". My guess is I will have a 26x16 sump footprint. One thing I forgot to metion was that I need an area for RO water for top off in the sump.

Shouldn't be hard to make your own, I made one for my 65g SPS. Worked great, make sure you do one baffle at the end for to serve as a bubble trap.
