I have a white version 840 v1.5 with the sicce psk 2500 pump, I just got this skimmer and I am tired of the start up issue already. What pump should I upgrade too?

just call victor at atb. He will get you taken care of. There shouldnt be any startup issues with your pump. but the new pump is better.

Are these start up issue known to ATB 840 pumps? Does the pump ever start backward? I have lots of problems with my ATB 840 and I wonder if my pump could be bad?

In two years running the Mini Airstar that came with my 840 only one time it didn't restart on it's own. The new Syncra pumps are a great option for those with restart issues
