how to lift debris from bb tank

hi
title says all
recentyl went BB got a couple mp40s (must say omfg worth every cent) thought the husbandry would b a lot easier, must say it defin is easier
my corals and fish tend to love the bb

my only concern n problem is how to do i get the fish waste from settling down want it to lift and get filtered but no matter what setting i put the mps on it just blows them to another spot!
can some1 guide to a technique to do so ive seen some bb tank without a debris in sight

i should note i still have some fine beach size sand floating n settling as well was very hard to remove every inch but i tend to suck it out with water changes

ne advice will b welcome

Fish poo or other large particles can be pretty heavy so will be hard to lift into the water column, just leave that stuff for the hermits, snails, and shrimp. When you do your water changes just cuck it off the bottom. I personally would focus on keeping the detritus in the water column which shouldnt be too hard with bare bottom.

If you still want to try to get heavier particles up you can try a couple powerful circulation pumps on the bottom of the tank as opposed to in the middle or top. Vortech will be hard to get them to do this because the flow they put out is so wide spread.
