Are these corals too far gone?

My BC14 crashed on Wednesday and now everything except the YWG, an Emerald Crab and a few snails is dead. The clam that spawned and killed everything is in a quarantine tank (you could say in solitary confinement). The Candy Cane I was so proud of grew up from a $5 frag to the 20-25 head beast in the picture below. The Torch began as a two head frag that took over a quarter of my tank, produced a bunch of frags I sold, and was about ready to be fragged again. Looks to me like that won't be necessary. Before I flush these two, does anyone here think they could still pull through? I had thought so, but today they began sloughing off tissue. Seems like a death spiral. A thorough, albeit brief, history of the crash is in this tread if you want to read more.

The candy cane can and probably will come back..the torch I am not so sure about but I would not take the skeleton out until I was completely sure as they can grow back from almost nothing..good luck!

This morning the torch is nothing more than a calcium carbonate skeleton with what looks like wet tissue paper hovering around the top of the heads. Total bummer. The Candy Canes lose more and more green every time I look at them.

Sometimes its best to cut your losses. By leaving the corals in the tank you still have dying animals in your tank.

The candy canes I would maybe leave but the torch started to brown jelly. If you ever see brown jelly again like that frag that piece immediately as it spreads across the whole colony almost overnight.

Sorry for your losses.

I think I'm at the cutting losses stage now Racer. Actually I'm at the cutting one tank stage. Not sure I have the emotional energy to get the 14 back up to where it was. I may become a one tank guy for a while.

That sucks. I know how it is. Focus on your one tank for now and try not to beat yourself up about it. These things happens to the best of us.

Man sorry for your bad luck. Don't give up on them till you’re sure there is no hope at all. It appears there is still some life there.

So sorry to hear of your losses. If possible I would remove the torch coral to a QT tank and siphon out the brown jelly. Most likely it's gone but there's always a little hope.

The Torch looks really bad, but moving it to a QT and siphoning off the brown jelly sounds smart. I'll try it. Would you believe some of the Green Star Polyps are out? Can't kill 'em. Like Dandelions. About half the heads on the Candy Cane look stone dead and half look drawn in, but ready to come back. Water quality looks good.

The clam is still in quarantine. Probably can't stay there forever. When is it time to move her back? Surely she's done spawning by now?
