Ice Cap Metal Halied Ballest good or great?

Anyone useing one of these if so how do you like it. I have a 265 and I am thinking about buying two 250watt ballest.

IceCap is out of business as of right now, so I'd be hesitant to buy new ones since future support might not be there. Overall a very good ballast though. Others you may want to look at are the Lumatek or Sunlight Supply selectable ballasts. I use the Lumatek, with wattages of 150, 175, 250 and HQI...saves buying another ballast if I decide to change. 5 year warranty- some prorated- as well.

I agree with jim they are a good ballast but i would be worried about support in the future.

From the email I recieved "CoralVue will be offering product support and service for IceCap 430 and 660 ballasts starting the week of 1/17" so I'm sure that is good news to many

i was told as early as 1/10 for the 660 and 430, i will send an email then and see what happens

I have 2 660's and 2 250 MH ballasts from IceCap. never had an issue with any of them. Too bad they went out of business. Great product.
