Penny auctions

How come my post was closed about penny auctions was closed? Every other message board is also complaining about them. Theirs arent being closed. Dont even bother looking at their site its total bs. What kind of auction keeps adding time to get the selling amount that they want?

If a thread is closed its not a great idea to start another about it.

Your best course of action would be to pm the mod about your issue in a polite fashion

This will be locked as well. You may have even earned yourself an infraction for making the same mistake twice.

might want to post it in the lounge or off topic area. or maybe you cant name other sites. Not sure. Probably number one. But pming the mod would be a wonderful idea, get it straight from the horses mouth.

the penny auctions are a scam obviously. Each bid you place adds time to the auction so the price usually gets to retail or even higher.

penny auctions are so misunderstood because people do not want to read the fine print
and fully understand what is going on with them and how they work.

it is easier for the less ambitious folks to call them a scam then it is to research why and how they exist.

with all that said.. i do not use them nor have i ever. i just researched them enough to
understand what is going on.

as for auctions increasing the time left in the auction.. that is to stop sniping in the last
few seconds in an online venue. The whole thing of allowing others to think things over
for a few more seconds is how a traditional old fashioned auction has always worked.

going once! going twice! sold.

After reading this thread I visited their site and watched the short video clip of how they work. They explain how they operate in full detail, not a scam at all, just different than the big online auction site that everyone is so used to.

Posting a thread about a locked topic obviously isn't a good idea. There is a feedback forum on this site to post vendor reviews; Reef Discussion is not that place.
