glue on coral!!!????
i was fragging a piece of my green star polyps and i got glue on top of it by accident. is this ok? should i maybe wash it off. i was trying to glue it to a piece of rock and i guess the glue got on my finger and i was pushing the coral down little pressure to assure it was on the rock. is this ok or should i wash it off or something? and the glue is loctite super glue gel. one chemical that i know that is in the glue is cyanoacrylate. also, the coral stars arent out but i know they will eventually its just because it was disturbed, but i think i might've cut one of the stubs or polyps in half will that be fine too?

Not to worry - GSP's will bounce back from just about anything but a nuclear accident..and even that isn't definite!..lol
You can simply peel off the glue if you wish, not really harmful if a little piece breaks off. They grow quickly and are very forgiving! |

Having a bit of glue on top of GSP's is like mowing the lawn a little too low, it'll eventually just overgrow the glue quite easily. As KathyC said - they will bounce back from anything but a nuclear accident. Hilarious.

Most important, unrelated to the glue, gsp and other softies will like the params in my sig. Test weekly. Do your water changes. Particularly watch alkalinity with this species, and running carbon is good.

I was gluing a small rock with two zoanthid polyps on to a frag plug the other day. As I went to place the frag on the plug it slipped out of my finger and landed face down in the glue. 2 King Midas zoas covered in glue. I progressed forward and 3 days later both polyps emerged from the glue and are looking good.
