Heaters - Recommendations???
Hey guys,
Just set up a 29g tank and the heater i got isnt working. any recommendations? I was hoping to find a good reputable brand that makes heaters that are fully submersible. not sure whether i should do a 100w or 150 too. Thanks! |

Ebo Jager makes great heaters, had some over 10 years that still work fine. Also a good submersible is the older Marineland Stealth heaters, I never had a problem with those and temperature was spot on. I have heard pf the newer ones crapping out, so if you can find an older one I would go with that. 150w is plenty and will give you a little extra in the winter months.

+1 on Jagers. I've also had one for several years, and in total I have 13 years on them with zero failures. 150w would be sufficient provided your house isn't too cold, but you'd be better off getting two smaller heaters as opposed to one large one; that way if one fails, you'll either overheat the tank half as fast, or still have partial heat.
