Nnnnooooooooooooo!

Well this was a crappy morning. I wake up to what at first looks like my anemone is melting away, to finding out it's my orange shoulder tang being shat out of my anemone. Sad sad, I got him when he was an inch and grew him to 7.

Too bad. it's possible he died of other causes and got swept in by current, but I personally gave up on having nems in other than a specialty tank. (Two of the meanest clowns in all creation didn't help.) They're mostly pretty 'hot' and accidents happen.

wow, that does suck. Although, I would be very surprised if the nem actually caught and ate the tang. I bet he was either already severly weak, or dead and floating into the nem.

I also am very doubtful that the nem killed your fish. A carpet nem maybe but not an Rbta, their sting just isn't that strong. I have had some some tanga for a long time that have died mysteriously. Sorry for your loss!

Sorry for your loss but I got to say that is a very cool picture. Kind of looks like you have a ghost in the aquarium.

Yeah, I really am not sure how to gently make the point that while the loss it represents is painful, the picture and the picture taking skills are exceptional. Sorry for the loss man.
