RKL options need advise

Okay, As some of you may have read I just finished my LEDs well most of it.

I'm running 36 1:1 ratio Cree XR-E...so 3 drivers per 12 LED string
I have another 12 Royale blue LEDs that I have come on before the main 36 array. I was going to go with a Apex, but my budget has taken a hit. So I was thinking with my recent heater failure that I get into a RKL, but I need to know what to buy.

I want to start out at the minimum I need and add more later.

Functions:

control 4 drivers (4-3 prong plugs) to come on at different times

Utilize the heater control function because I keep having heaters fail

What do I need to perform these tasks?

This is all I need now. I take very good care of my tank (20-30 minutes a night) so messing with a ATO, dosing, or anything else is not a current issue. I do want to go full automation at some point.

Would say to start get the basic RKL with an extra PC4. I love my RKL, simple and works great. Have a total of 3 PC4s.

If you go over to DA (ReekKeepers website) I wrote a good
How To for setting up the ALC (dimmable lighting module).

I was one of the firs people to own an ALC module

Pretty much all you need is an ALC module to
control the 0-10 line and the standard system.

If you can swing it I would go for the RKE over the RKL
I found that the more I automate the more I want to automate.

Good Luck.

Oh and for Disclosure Yes I am a TeamDA guy.

Sorry but I'll pass on the RKE. I do this on a strick budget to keep my pocket book stable. Besides this is my cheap hobby...trying to keep it that way

sprayed99,
Are you going to use the Meanwell ELN-60-48D dimmable Drivers?
If so you might want to check out the DA forum at http://www.forum.digitalaquatics.com/. It can be done I have 3 of the Meanwell drivers in my system. I am using the ALC module that Harry_Y mentioned to control the intensity and ramp up and ramp down times.

If you are not using the dimmable drivers then all you would need is an extra PC4 as mentioned.

Danny

Now I'm getting responses on dimming. that is not what i'm trying to do. My LED lighting is done and I'm using the constant current drivers to run my LED arrays.

Thanks to all that have responded. I ordered the RKL LV1 with the extra PC4.

If you don't want to dim, why don't you just put it on $10 timers. It would save your wallet.

I just ordered my ALC and cant wait to use the dimming feature.
