NEW MP 10 W es on a 50 breeder

One Word...LOVE

I love this thing, it rocks. My first type of controllable pump and the control and power is amazing. I put it in and played around and it kicked up all kinds of stuff and really got stuff moving. I highly recommend it to anyone considering one. It replaced 3 koralia nano's.

I have the same tank. Does one MP 10 create enough flow for the whole tank?

I am still playing with it but I would have to say Yes. Of course I only keep Softies no SPS. I could however seeing having another one at the opposite end really giving you a cool effect. I am happy (and broke) with the one I got.

The only slight problem I have and have heard others complain is that it does make a noise. It is not silent. My tank is silent except for the MP10 its ok when its on constant but wave maker bursts cause it to humm...humm....hummm. Its just enough to get on your nerves if you let it. Doesn't bother me too much.

I know what you mean. Just got an MP10 ES yesterday, and my corals are already looking better

good to hear. I just bought a MP10Wes for my 36" 70 gallon and I'm hoping its enough with my Mag 9.5 return. If not I will bite the bullet and order another one.

I think you will be happy, your tank is just taller I believe so it should work.

I just set up a 40 breeder and have 2 MP10 es's on it. I haven't fully set them up yet -- just running at about 40% as I cycle the rock.

Thanks ezhoops. They look cool, but I was thinking if you need two, why not just get one MP40 and dial it back. I don't know, maybe that would be too much though.

That's what I thought at first but think of it this way. If you only have one then you can only get flow in one direction. if you have two you can alternate which way the flow comes from. Which in my opinion is a little more natural.
