Well the bulbs are 75% used up, so those don't really add any value. The fixture new runs 500 with free shipping. Assuming it's in perfect shape...I might pay 400 shipped to my door...maybe a little less because you take on extra risk buying from a random shmo online.

I'd say $350-$400 is fair. Very nice fixtures. I say go for it!!!

If you pay less than $400 you're getting a steal of a deal. I love my sunpower.

+1

I've never seen one go for less than $400. I tried to find a used one when I bought mine but they always sold shortly after posting.

ati sunpower 6x54 vs hagen glo ballasts with ind reflectors

how much better is one than the other or is there a difference? or would it be a better investment to buy a 4 bulb tek fixture new? the deals is they want me to trade 2 retrofits with one hagen glo ballast give them 310 dollars and they will give me 3 monti's and the ati sunpower fixture

Let's put it this way, I switched over from 2x250w MH and had minor bleaching(colors lightening). I was running icecap ballasts and 14k giesseman bulbs as well.

All I can tell you is the ATI will be way better than your setup. The going price for a used fixture is $400 with 1 year old bulbs. New bulbs will run you about $120. It's up to you to decide if what he wants is reasonable, though you can expect lower end equipment to fetch about 50% of original value. Not sure what your retro costs new.
