How to remove RBTA?

I've tried using ice, razor blade and flat screw driver, none of these method works. I think the problem is because the base of the RBTA is attached to a small hole in the rock and I can't seem to get to the bottom of it. can someboby give me some suggestions as to how to remove my RBTA without removing the base rock (the rbta is attchaed a big piece of base rock) from the tank and without damage the RBTA.

TIA

It sounds like you can't get to the base? If you could, I just used my fingernail and a credit card to slowly pull the foot away from the rock.

Without having access to the foot.... I'm at a loss.

Take said RBTA and rock out of water and hold RBTA upside down. Use fingernail or toothpick to pry at base. May take a few tries but should eventually start coming loose. I went to a local reefer's meeting with same issue and was shown the upside down trick. Ever since works like a charm.

Other than pointing a powerhead at it to try to irritate into moving, there is not much you can do without damage. Try the powerhead and cross your fingers.

thank you for the infos. I can't take the rock out becuase the RBTA is attached the base rock, in order to remove, I need to remove all the rock and corals on top of it. I think I'll try the powerhead next time.
