No Way to fill or drain tanks!

I've been using a python to fill and drain tanks for years, just moved to new house and don't you know it the fitting I've used forever at several places dose not work anywhere in the house . Anyone had this problem before??
Are their ways around this?

Take the aerator out of the faucet you want to use, then the fitting for the Python and go to a real hardware store for the correct adapter. It is that easy. :-)

Indeed. I had to get a new one when I moved as well.

LOL, real hardware store. I like that one.

A bucket and a chunk of hose? I do that with my freshwater tank. No siphon end needed.

Use you return pump to pump into your old siphon hose and hold it in the sink with a heavy dish while plugging in the pump. Then how you get the water back in the tank is up to you to figure out how your setup could work best.

A big box store is not a real hardware store. They may have what you need at the blue or orange place, but no one will be able to help other than point. A real neighborhood hardware store is usually staffed by people who actually know what they are doing, and actually care. Ask me how I know this? I have been supplying lumber, hardware and building materials since 1983 to hardware stores, lumber yards and yes, even the big box stores. :-)

So true. I've had good advice in both types, but the small hometown Ace Hardware store you can get so much better advice and more attention.
