T-5's over a 125
hi folks, i am trying to plan a canopy build now that my stand is complete, i am thinking of T-5 lighting but have no experience with them. i have had LED's, mh and PC lighting in the past. its a stock sized 125 and will house SPS,LPS,softies and maybe a clam down the road.
i was thinking about doing12-36" bulbs with individual reflectors mounted to the underside of the canopy(6 per side) using 4-ATI blue plus 1-ATI purple plus 1-GE 6500k daylight and 3 ice cap ballast. what other ballast are a good choice ? what are the different reflectors i should be looking at? if anyone wants to chime in on a good or bad idea related to this, please feel free as this is only in the planning stages and can be re-designed. thabks

Don't go with 12 bulbs. You will regret it when you have to replace them all at the tune of $250/yearly.
Go with 6 - 80w bulbs. You will get plenty of coverage. Go with LET reflectors and ATI ballasts. Everything can be found at Reefgeek.

If it is 18" front to back, 6 will fit. They are just cozy.
I have a reefgeek 6X48" LET retro over my 90g. That said, I think 5 bulbs is plenty for a mixed reef If you are looking to save electricity
