RODi water production has decreased
I used to fill a 5 gal bucket in a hour or less. Now it takes over 2.5 hours. The TDS is still 0. Temperature is not an issue.
Where should I start to troubleshoot the issue. This is a Air, Water, and Ice 75gpd unit if it matters. |

I believe I have a 5 and a 1 micron cartridge. I'm going to swap those out tomorrow for starters. I've had this unit for 3 years without any issues until now.

Clogged pre filters is my first guess.

I'd send the folks at AW&I an email, see if they can't help you. Man, what a mess!

A whole host of issues here. First 20 PSI is very poor and I would highly suggest getting a booster pump or contacting your water supply if it's anywhere near that PSI from the faucet. What is it now that the filters are replaced?
Secondly, most recommend swapping your pre-filters every 6 or so months. 3 years is waaaaay too long and are probably extremely clogged not to mention the fun growth you likely have unless it's in 100% darkness. All of the rust looks like it has salt spray splashed all over it honestly.

I appreciate everyones feedback. I guess some assumptions have been made here. My filters get changed annually in January/February or when ever I notice my TDS increase over my reading of 0. My water psi is normally much higher. However, I never took notice. Even with the leak after swapping prefilters. I had over 50psi.
I purchased this unit used 3+ years ago. Although AWI have provided me great customer service when I've contacted them via email. They don't owe me anything. |
