Why is this 3600 GPH Reeflo loud all of a sudden?
When I first hooked up this Reeflo is was somewhat loud. Before I had a chance to fix it it stopped being loud. A couple months later now and all of a sudden its loud again. Any thoughts?
Cant tell if its the fan or the bearings making the noise. Could I put WD40 on the axle/bearings since the pump is all steel or is this not suggested? Pump is fairly old but new to me, probably 5 years or so. |

I don’t know if this will help but I’m running the snapper. The output line was putting downward pressure on the pump and causing the pump to be loud. I had to make a mount that supports the weight of the line. If you pull up slightly on your line will the noise go away?

Jay nice set up. I have the same skimmer but not the cone series.
Interesting thought. I tried it and it did take out a slight hummm but the dang bearing rotation noise is still loud as ever! Thanks though |
