wanted: FTS using glass holes overflow boxes
I'm redoing my system and I'm trying to decide where to put my overflow box. I'm concerned about appearance, but also about function. I've got MP10s on either side of my display which tend to push surface scum towards the center of the tank. Functionally I'm thinking about putting the overflow box in the center to help do a better job cleaning that scum, but the center of the tank is such a focal point that I'm not sure if I want the overflow box there.
So to all of you using glass holes boxes, could you post a FTS so I can see how the box looks in different locations? Feel free to comment about how happy/unhappy you are with the placement. TIA.

Its a 36 gallon bow front... Have been happy with the placement.

I have a black background and I hardly notice it is even there.

Here is my 40b, I really like my glass-holes overflow, it was easy to setup, and is pretty quite. Its not a huge eye sore at least to me, I have it dead center in my tank, with two returns one on each end of the tank, I have been happy with the placement. I personally don't like having the overflow on one side or the other, no special reason other than I don't like the looks of it, it bugs me...lol

Here's my 150g with dual 1500gph kits on each side. Being a peninsula does not look bad at all. Took a few weeks to stop "spitting", but I love them.

Mine is placed in the back laft. My back is also painted black, very hard to see. Also, if you can adjust your rock work to kind of hide it. Makes a big difference that way as well.
