Question about washing filter socks

So i tossed my dirty filter sock into the laundry machine.. Ran it on HOT with NO detergents... Just hot water. Took it out and it looked brand new.. but when i smelled it.. it had a hint of that fresh laundry scent to it.. maybe i had some residual detergent that was still in the machine from before... is it ok to throw it back into the sump?

I wash mine twice in the washing machine. Once for safe measure

I would run it through another rinse cycle and make sure there are no detergents in it.

I just take mine to the local laundry mat and wash them w/o detergent. That's it.....one time through....Never have had any problems and been doing it for years...

I run mine twice as well, then air dry.
I keep at least 5 for easy swap.

Wash with bleach with an extra rinse cycle, thoroughly dry, and a quick rinse in RODI before it goes in the tank.

I wash mine twice and throw in a little Prime just to be safe, then air dry. Allways has worked fine for me.
