Aquascaping.... Need some opinions.

I'll be getting my first corals soon. Possibly this weekend.

Right now the LR is stacked for my fish as a FOWLR, but now that I am getting corals I don't think its set up really well for placement. What do you guys think? What would you do?

Anyone feel like sharing pics?

Here's what it looks like now.

Thats acutally quite good for coral husbandry. You put the corals that prefer more light and flow at the top and the corals that like much less light and flow on the substrate or low on the reef rock.

You might want to consider moving the rock away from the glass if you're able, given the size of the rock and tank...otherwise you won't be able to clean as well, and in 6 months you'll have nice circles of coralline algae where the glass and rock meet. Figure out how big your algae scraper of choice is, and use that distance as a guide. Good luck!

I like the aquascape but not the heater. Can you throw that in a sump?

Looks like their is a BakPak on their to which probably means no sump, but I like the rocks as well!

I like the two bommie approach - looks nice! I agree with above, the less that touches the back, the better.

I really like your rock layout, looks really nice.

I would keep it just the way you have it!

Yeah, I know. I prefer a clean look too. Nothing wrong with leaving it grow, but I like clean glass. I'll see what I can do to move it a little.

I'll be installing a sump soon. I actually have a different heater right now and it hides better, but I still want a sump for the sole purpose of hiding the heater and Skimmer if nothing else.
