Color change in Green BTA?

I bought a green BTA and it was beautiful when I got it. Bright Green! Now its brownish and the tentacles are long and stringy-ish. Ive had it from july '10 to now. and somewhere around october-november it has changed. Anyone know why this happened?

Original (sorry i dont have a shot of the whole anemone)

Good News

In your before shot it was bleached and un healthy

In your shot now its Healthy and dark colored.

I can imagine you got this from a local fish store cause of its neon color. No one told you it was bleached and would darked up. Good news though, you have a healthy anemone now.

+1, LFS's could say a number of things to get you to buy an anemone. Remember no common hosting anemone is white or white with a tint, that usually shows stress and loss of the anemone's algae ( Can't remember specific algae name ). Now your anemone is a lot healthier and happier just be wary if you try to buy any coral or anemone that is *white* and always ask on here before you buy so you don't get dissapointed because the LFS can and will mislead you to make a sale. Good luck with your nem, it looks great!

Oh ok, that's interesting that an online store I presume sent you that anemone. Well all in all it's healthy now and that's all that matters, maybe to change up it's color a bit maybe you could change up it's diet and or some of your lights.
