Question

I caught my emerald reef crab eating the fuzzy parts of my cauliflower coral. Will this grow back with time because right now it looks really sad. By the time I had gotten home from work the crab had eaten almost all of the fuzzy bits from the bottom half of the frag.

it should grow back.

This is why I continually say emerald crabs are not reef safe. It's not a matter of if, but when they decide to munch on your corals. Mine ate some expensive SPS frags that didn't recover. Threw me into a rage.

porcelain crabs are about as reef safe as you can get, other than that, it's a crapshoot.

Yes my husband was told my the old LFS we used that they were reef safe. We not longer go to that store anymore and the crab has been banned from the DT.

They are filter feeding crabs so they should be safe. they hold out "fans" to eat. I've seen a video somewhere and it's very cool

I have two porcelains now. They extend "maxillipeds" which as stated are fans that fan food to them from the water column. They're cool to watch and very peaceful.
